Writing Addict, the book, was for me a very moving period. As I wrote to relive the horror of my drug addiction it was just like watching it all over again. Reading over the manuscript time and time again I said to myself 'Why, oh why, did I do that' ?

Addict took two years to write. It was very difficult to piece together so many drugged up years but as the months rolled by more and more came back to me.

I revisited England interviewing many people who told me about events completely wiped from my memory but with their help and extensive hypnotherapy I slowly and painfully put the past together to complete Addict, the book.

Since publication much more has come back to me especially about the five years living rough all over England.

I have visited many of the towns I was destitute in and plan to write a series of short recollections on this to be published on this homepage and later editions of Addict the book. Many of these towns including people who actually remember me will be featured in the film Addict.

Today living in Bavaria (Germany) life is very different for me. I have been off drugs for twenty years and to watch my two teenage sons grow up is in itself a miracle. I would like to share that miracle with you all.

Many of us have addictive problems and perhaps my experiences and how I found a way to escape the clutches of drug addiction can be of help to you.
